Our Story
A Decade of Artistry
Hi, I’m Kiah the founder of Pressed and Paused. I’ve been a florist for over a decade, officially starting my journey in 2014 when I completed my floristry training.
Throughout my career, I’ve always been drawn to the emotional side of flowers the way they quietly speak to life’s biggest moments. Whether it’s a wedding bouquet or a memorial arrangement, flowers carry meaning, and that’s what inspired Pressed and Paused.
Before this business began, I spent years immersed in the world of fresh flowers creating countless wedding arrangements, installations, waking up before sunrise, working long days and every weekend. It was full-on, but I truly loved it. There’s something special about being part of people’s most memorable moments, and I’ve always felt grateful to be in a role that blends creativity, care, and connection.
Pressed and Paused was born out of that same love, a way to slow things down and honour the beauty that blooms in fleeting moments. I specialise in drying and framing flowers from weddings, memorials, and other special occasions, preserving them as timeless keepsakes.
Each piece is thoughtfully made by hand, combining technical skill with artistic detail. From the moment your flowers arrive, they’re treated with care and intention because I know how much they mean to you.
It’s an honour to be trusted with something so personal. I approach every project with the same love and respect I’d give my own, because I know it’s never just flowers. It’s a feeling, a memory, a piece of your story. And I’m here to help you keep it close.
